Led design for the digital transformation of an insurance group's global IT governance, delivering six enterprise products across three technology stacks, ServiceNow, Power BI and SAP Analytics Cloud, used by project, programme and portfolio managers and by employees across 14+ countries. Coordinated two designers across multiple workstreams, managing priorities, timelines and deliverables, while serving as the main design contact for PMs, business stakeholders and developers.
The IT division of an insurance group ran its project governance, reporting and resource management across six products built on three different stacks: a custom internal access-request tool, two SAP Analytics Cloud reports, two Power BI reports, and a ServiceNow platform.
The wider renewal programme spanned 16 streams, each led by different stakeholders, with different requirements, features and visualisation types, and different audiences. I led design across six of those products from February to December 2025.
Our main activities focused on an access request platform and tools for employees, SAC and Power BI dashboards aimed at project managers and programme managers, and the ServiceNow platform, which is open to all employees but with a focus on areas dedicated to project management.
I coordinated two junior designers and set the design timeline together with the development, business and other teams involved, acting as the main point of contact for design with project managers, stakeholders and developers. Design activities were reviewed and validated with Business, Architecture, and internal Ergonomics teams before moving into development. The validation process was continuously refined throughout the project, requiring close collaboration between PMO, Design, and Development to ensure that solutions were aligned across business, technical, and user experience needs.
Six products across three stacks had to feel like one environment, and none of them allowed much control over how they rendered.
The set was not homogeneous in kind either. Five were reporting surfaces, while the access-request tool was a transactional flow with its own interaction logic, so what could be shared across all of them was limited from the start.
